Mark Miller

Mark Miller died in 1978 from a heart attack he suffered while hiking in the mountains.
This tribute, written by Michael Greever, is reprinted from our 1971-1991 Panther Tales
Although you did not move mountains in social or political circles, you moved the hearts of the people around you. So, in your own way, you made your contribution to the world.
You were a man of peace, of kindness, of understanding, of gentle spirit. You always gave of your time. Many of the good attributes that we, your friends, have, we owe to your example. You practiced patience even with intolerable people. You demonstrated to us good and moral ways even though it was not fashionable or popular. You taught us to brush off adversity. No matter what we did, you were always helpful, We knew you would find a way to understand.
You were a person of vision, an idea man. You did not put expectations on your friends. You allowed them to be themselves. All of us have been touched by your life. Although you have not been with us for the last 12 years, your spirit lives within your friends and family.
We celebrate your life, and we know that in different ways, we are better people for having known you. And we cannot help but feel that God smiled upon us all with the gift of your life touching ours.
