Debbie (Debra) Delier

October 15, 1952 – November 30, 2006 This is a reprint of Debra Delier’s obituary:

In Loving Memory of My Daughter who dedicated her life to family and friends. Debra Ann Delier passed away Thursday November 30, 2006 at Boulder Community Hospital from complications from Lupus. Debra was 54. Debra was an exceptional daughter and sister, caring and sacrificing all for our mother. Debra spent her life living and working in Boulder, Colorado.

Debra was preceded in death by her father, Robert F. Delier; grandparents Edward and Dolly Keller and Frank and Susan Delier.

Debra is survived by her mother Georgia Bernice Keller-Delier of Boulder; Brothers Larry L. Delier of Louisville; Gary L. Delier of Longmont; Richard A. Delier of Gill; and their families.

Debra had many friends: Carol Jacobson, Kathy Hanson, Sharon Laplante, Kathy Schicke, Diane Harris, Amy Cleghorn, and her many other coworkers at Boulder Community Hospital.

Debra Ann Delier will be missed by all. May She Rest in Peace.

Debra’s brother Gary Delier shares these memories with her classmates:

Debra lived in Boulder, and briefly in Louisville, her entire life. Having three older brothers, she was the only daughter in the Delier family. She remained single, but had a very romantic heart. Debra took great pride and enjoyment in collecting blown glass, bud vases, glassware, shell angels by Margaret Furlong, an artist from Oregon, and blue delft ceramics. A devoted daughter, Debra selflessly provided care for her mother, and the two of them enjoyed several trips to Hawaii and California.

Debra worked in accounting at National State Bank, Neodata, and then enjoyed a long career at Community Hospital and Memorial Hospital in the accounts payable department.

Debra’s long struggle with lupus took its toll as it crippled her hands, bones, joints, and eventually affected her organs. She lost her life to a heart attack a week after enduring a surgery involving 5 bypasses. Her family cherishes memories of her kindness and devotion to family.
